Trial Guide (Trainer class)

A Trial Guide (Japanese: しれんサポーター Trial Supporter) is a type of Pokémon Trainer introduced in Generation VII. They are men and women who assist Trainers undergoing their island challenge. They act as gatekeepers, healers, and at times, even challengers.

Some Trial Guides will battle the player if they have defeated all the other Trainers in their respective area. These Trial Guides have Z-Rings^SM or Z-Power Rings^USUM and use Z-Moves.
