Baroness (Trainer class)
A Baroness (Japanese: バロネス Baroness) is a type of Pokémon Trainer that debuted in Generation VI. This Trainer class is a title of nobility, granted in the Battle Chateau, and Trainers with this class only appear there. Baroness is the lowest rank of nobility for females, ranking below Viscountess. Its counterpart for males is Baron.

The female player character is granted the title of Baroness upon first visiting the Battle Chateau. All opponent Baronesses use parties of one Pokémon at level 15 (if no Writ of Challenge is active).

Baronesses include five Ladies, a Madame, and a Maid.
