Ethan (Masters)

Ethan (Japanese: ヒビキ Hibiki) is a Pokémon Trainer in Pokémon Masters EX, based on the character of the same name in the core series games. He forms a sync pair with Cyndaquil, and its evolved forms Quilava and Typhlosion. The sync pair can be obtained through the sync pair scout, starting from January 15, 2020. The pair's potential can be upgraded to 6★ EX from May 20, 2021, which unlocks Ethan's EX Style.

Cyndaquil → Quilava → Typhlosion

Cyndaquil can evolve into Quilava once it has reached level 30 through its Sync Pair Story Cyndaquil's Evolution, and then into Typhlosion once it has reached level 45 through its Sync Pair Story Quilava's Evolution.

Origin

Ethan's design is based on his appearance in Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver. Cyndaquil is the one of the starter Pokémon of Johto in the core series games. In addition, Ethan's anime and Pokémon Adventures counterparts have been depicted with Cyndaquil and its evolutions. Cyndaquil, Quillava, and Typhlosion's Dex entries come from Ruby, Sapphire, Omega Ruby, and Alpha Sapphire.
