Questions tagged [molds]

Use this tag for questions about the process of making a hollowed-out product for the production of other products by filling that void with a pliable material or a liquid that sets in time.

A mold or mould is a negative (hollowed-out) product for the creation of positive products by means of casting a liquid or a pliable material like clay into the negative product to create the positive. After the positive has hardened out, the product can be removed from the mold. In order to get the product from a mold it is quite common to construct a mold from multiple parts.
