Dynamic Punch (Japanese: ばくれつパンチ Exploding Punch), formatted as DynamicPunch prior to Pokémon X and Y, is a damage-dealing Fighting-type move introduced in Generation II. It was TM01 in Generation II.

Effect

Generation II

Dynamic Punch inflicts damage and has a 255/256 (~99.6%) chance of confusing the target.

Generation III onwards

Dynamic Punch now always confuses the target.

Dynamic Punch gains a 20% power boost when used by a Pokémon with Iron Fist.

Dynamic Punch can also be used as part of a Pokémon Contest combination, with the user gaining extra two appeal points if either the move Focus Energy or Mind Reader was used in the prior turn.
