Side Path

Side Path (Japanese: ちいさなよこあな Small Cave) is a dungeon in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time and Explorers of Darkness and Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky. It is an optional dungeon preceding Craggy Coast that is only available before completing the dungeon. It exists solely for experience, as first time the Craggy Coast appears, the player is on a guild expedition and can't return to Treasure Town.

Gameplay

Floors 1 and 3 are medium sized with 4-9 rooms, while floors 2 and 4 have 4-5 rooms, instead. Last floor is large, and can have anywhere between 4 and 12 rooms. There's 1-2 Wonder Tiles on each floor, 1-4 items and 2-3 starting enemies.

There are no special occurrences in this dungeon, and the player cannot be rescued if knocked out, thus making this dungeon unavailable once Craggy Coast is finished. There is light darkness in the dungeon. The turn limit is 1000 on each floor.
