Gameplay

The jobs are ranked E and ★1 through ★6 by default, depending on the floor.

The following floor layouts are used in this dungeon:

  • Small-sized with 3-6 rooms on floors 1, 2, 3, 7, 8, 12, 13, 14, 15, 19, 20, 24, 25, 26, 27, 30, 31, 33 and 39
  • Medium-sized with 3-7 rooms on floors 4, 5, 16, 17, 21, 22, 29, 34, 35, 37, 38, 42, 43, 44, 45, 48 and 49
  • Large-sized with 3-7 rooms on floors 6, 11, 18, 23, 46 and 47
  • Floor 28 has hallways in center with rooms on the edge.
  • Floor 32 has hallways on the edges with rooms in center.
  • Floor 36 is five rooms in a cross shape.
  • Floors 40 and 41 have a giant room in middle with smaller rooms on left and right.

There is 2-5 items on the ground and 6-9 items buried in the walls. There's 2-3 starting enemies on floors 1 through 3, 2-4 on floors 4 through 6, and 3-5 on later floors. There is a 10% chance each for a room on every fourth floor, starting with the second, to be filled with deep water.

The IQ Booster activates on every even floor. Turn limit is 1000. Enemies in the dungeon have 331IQ, while Kyogre has 600IQ, granting it access to many skills. There is light darkness starting on floor 8. There is deep water in the dungeon. The items here have 7% chance to spawn sticky.

Like other Seven Treasures dungeons other than Sky Stairway, stat boosting items and Lost Loot is buried in the walls (in contrast to most dungeons which only have Poké).

Pokémon encountered

Bottomless Sea

Each time the player enters floors 21 through 25, only 14 of the species that can be found on the floor will be chosen. The unpicked Pokémon's spawn rate will be added to whichever picked Pokémon is next in the National Dex order, going back to the beginning if needed.
