The boss of this dungeon is a Gyarados, who attempts to forcefully relieve the Phione of all their dew. Once Gyarados is defeated, the Phione reward the player with the dew. In any further explorations the player decides to take, the player can recruit a Phione once automatically by reaching the end of the dungeon.

There is a locked room on the third floor of the Deep Miracle Sea that holds a Treasure Box containing an Air Blade, Seabed Veil, Silver Veil, or a Wonder Gummi.

Gameplay

The jobs are ranked E, ★2, ★3, ★4 or ★5 by default, depending on the floor. Deep Miracle Sea is treated as ★5 or ★6 depending on the floor for purposes of Treasure Boxes.

The following floor layouts are used:

  • Medium-sized with as few as 3 rooms to a differing maximum amount of rooms: 6 (1F and 5F of Miracle Sea), 7 (4F of Miracle Sea) and 9 (2-3F, 6-7F and 12-15F of Miracle Sea and 1-2F of Deep Miracle Sea).
  • Large-sized with 4-12 rooms on floors 9 through 11 and 16 through 18 of Miracle Sea.
  • Small-size with 3-6 rooms on floors 3 and 4 of Deep Miracle Sea

There's 1-4 items on first three floors and 2-5 items on all later floors. There's 4-7 buried items in the walls. There's 2-3 starting enemies on floors 1 through 6 of Miracle Sea, 2-4 on floors 7 through 12 of Miracle Sea, and 3-5 on later floors. There is a 10% chance each for a room on floors 1, 5, 9, 13, 17 of Miracle Sea and floor 3 of Deep Miracle Sea, to be filled with deep water.

The IQ Booster activates on every floor. Turn limit is 1000. The player cannot be rescued if knocked out in Deep Miracle Sea. Enemies in floors 1 through 14 of Miracle Sea have 150IQ, and 331 on later floors. There is light darkness starting on floor 6 of Miracle Sea. The dungeon contains deep water.

Pokémon encountered

Each time player enters any floor except for the last floor of Deep Miracle Sea, only 14 of the species that can be found on a given floor will be chosen. The unpicked Pokémon's spawn rate will be added to whichever picked Pokémon is next in the National Dex order, going back to the beginning if needed.
