Conjunction

  2. and/or
  3. (archaic) for

Usage notes

Nebo is used both as an exclusive and an inclusive or.[3][4] To avoid ambiguity, "buď ... (a)nebo ..." ("either ... or ...") can be used for exclusive or; however, the conjunction buď and consequently this structure is never used in questions. Adding "nebo obojí" ("or both") etc. can be used for inclusive or.

Dáte si ke snídani kávu, nebo čaj?What do you want for breakfast – coffee or tea?
