Arghushal Swati

Arghush-al Swati (Persian : ارغوش آل سواتی) is sub-branch of Swati tribe. They are the descendants of Sultan Arghush (Sultan of Pakhli Sarkar). According to Hazara Gazetteer-1883 Arghushals own the 1 out of 9 parts of Upper Pakhli (now District Mansehra).[1] The 1 part of Arghushals includes the areas of Shinkari, Dhodial , Garhi Habibullah, Thakot and Kaghan.[2]

According to family traditions, Sultan Jahangeer, Sultan Arghush and Sultan Aznal were three brothers. In a recent research ,It is found that Jahangeris and Arghushals share same DNA haplogroup of R-FT297783[3].

Khans of Thakot belongs to Arghush-al family.
