Rota

Rota (Japanese: ロータ Rota) is an anime-exclusive location in northern Kanto and one of the settings of Lucario and the Mystery of Mew. In ancient times, Rota was an independent kingdom. As a result, the town has a medieval theme, resembling historically preserved medieval cities in Europe.

Rota hosts an annual festival to decided the "Hero of the Year", which requires attendees to wear royal clothing and includes a royal ball as well as a tournament where Trainers engage in battles to see who will be the year's Aura Guardian. The tournament was entered by Ash and Kidd Summers.

Cameran Palace lies north of the town, over a lake, and is connected to the town by a long bridge. It is a great medieval-style castle where Queen Ilene lives, and where Queen Rin, Sir Aaron, and his Lucario lived in ancient times.

The Tree of Beginning can be found a short distance from Rota, along with the site of the biggest battle of the century.

Rota and the Tree of Beginning are located in a mountain range north of Pewter City and Mt. Moon.
