Hoenn Route 134

Along with Routes 132 and 133, Route 134 brings the player back from Pacifidlog Town to complete one of the many loops of the Hoenn region.

Many of the same Pokémon that appeared on the previous sea routes are found here, as are many powerful Trainers on the islets along the way. Two^RS or three^E such Trainers are found on a large "U"-shaped island in the center of the route just west of the eastern terminus.

Additionally, this route is home to the Sealed Chamber, the underwater cavern that unlocks the caves of the Legendary titans—Regice, Regirock, and Registeel. To access the chamber, Trainers must depart from an island in the southeast corner of the route to travel west along the current and reach a deep spot in the route, where Trainers can Dive to the ocean floor to reach the chamber's entrance.

South of the U-shaped island is a tiny island holding a single Trainer^RS or a pair of Trainers^E. To the west of this spot is a large island, barren in Ruby and Sapphire but home to two Trainers and an item in Emerald. Northwest of the island, the current that dominated the previous three routes comes to an end at the northeastern edge of Slateport City.

All items on Route 134 can only be accessed with the use of Surf.

• The Swimmer that appears in the Ruby & Sapphire chapter of Pokémon Adventures is based on Swimmer Jack, who appears in this route. Like Fisherman Wilton before him, Jack shares his Japanese name with the manga's author, Hidenori Kusaka.
