The Dark Memory (Japanese: ダークメモリ Dark Memory) is a type of held item introduced in Generation VII. It is one of the memories that are associated with Silvally. It corresponds to the Dark type.

If the holder uses Multi-Attack, it becomes a Dark-type move.

RKS System changes a Silvally holding this item to its Dark-type form. Item-manipulating effects (such as Trick and Fling) cannot give Silvally a memory or remove a memory from Silvally.

A Dark Memory in the anime

In Mission: Total Recall!, after Gladion's Silvally broke free of its mask, Gladion used a Dark Memory to transform Silvally into a Dark type, allowing it to easily defeat Faba's Alakazam and Hypno.

Trivia

  • The Japanese name of Dark Memory matches the English name of the Dark-type, instead of its Japanese name, "Evil" (あく).
