Background
The event will mark the promotion's 32th overall visit to Canada and sixth to Vancouver, returning to the country for the first time since UFC Fight Night: Cowboy vs. Gaethje in September 2019.[1]
Although it has yet to be announced by the promotion, it has been reported that the UFC Women's Bantamweight Championship trilogy between current champion (also UFC Women's Featherweight Champion) Amanda Nunes and former champion and The Ultimate Fighter: Team Rousey vs. Team Tate bantamweight winner Julianna Peña will headline the event.[2] The pairing previously met at UFC 269 where Peña captured the title by submission in the second round in a major upset.[3] Their second meeting took place at UFC 277 where Nunes regained the title by unanimous decision.[4] They were also the head coaches for the 30th season of The Ultimate Fighter.[5]
