History
At GDC 2013, Nintendo unveiled their new Nintendo Web Framework program.[3][4] The first app to use the Nintendo Web Framework was Wii Street U, which was also shown at the Conference. At the conference, Nintendo senior software engineer Ryan Lynd mentioned Sketch Battle, a platformer which was completely coded in JavaScript and then ported to the Wii U due to the Nintendo Web Framework.[5][6]
In 2016, Nintendo Developer Portal was released and the Nintendo Web Framework website is now a dead link.[7]
