History

Prior to the school's establishment, there was an increased number of Japanese families with children in Cambodia that occurred after the growth of Japanese business operations. In 2013 the Japanese Business Association of Cambodia established a committee for making a day school.[2] It was established in 2015,[3] with 14 teachers and 21 students upon opening. It is the first full Japanese day school in Cambodia.[2]

Facilities

The school features a large structure with a corrugated iron roof housing an artificial turf pitch and a concrete surfaced basketball court. There is a three-storey teaching block directly opposite the sports ground, featuring a staff room, principal's office, home economics room, multi-purpose assembly room, science lab and nine classrooms.

There is a caretaker's housing unit situated between the sports ground and the teaching block, which contains an adjoining sports equipment annex.
