After the Sikhs conquered Saharanpur in the Battle of Saharanpur, they captured the neighbouring towns of Behat and Ambheta.[1] During the monsoon season, Nanauta was easily captured by the Sikhs.[2][3] The place was fully plundered.[4] From Nanauta Banda Singh wrote a letter to faujdar Jalal Khan of Jalalabad which lead to Battle of Jalalabad (1710).
