While normally unobtainable, the Strange Ball is visible whenever an invalid Poké Ball ID is found in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl and Pokémon Legends: Arceus
Despite being introduced in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, the Strange Ball resembles a modern Poké Ball design rather than the designs seen in Hisui.
