Rescue Team Starter Set

A Rescue Team Starter Set (Japanese: きゅうじょたいスターターセット Rescue Team Starter Set) is a package given to new Rescue Teams in the beginning of Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team and Blue Rescue Team and Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX. It contains items useful for exploring dungeons, including a Rescue Team Badge and a Toolbox. It is similar to the Pokémon Exploration Team Kit given in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time and Explorers of Darkness, and Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky.

In the games

In Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team and Blue Rescue Team and Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX, the player's Rescue Team receives a Starter Set in the mailbox the day after rescuing Caterpie in Tiny Woods. It contains an issue of Pokémon News, in addition to a Rescue Team Badge and a Toolbox.
