Extreme Speed (move)
Extreme Speed (Japanese: しんそく Swiftness), formatted as ExtremeSpeed prior to Pokémon X and Y, is a damage-dealing Normal-type move introduced in Generation II. Prior to Generation III, it was the signature move of Arcanine.

ExtremeSpeed inflicts damage. It has a priority of +1, so is used before all moves that do not have increased priority.

In Red Rescue Team and Blue Rescue Team, and Explorers of Time, Darkness and Sky, ExtremeSpeed is a move with 16 base power, 88% accuracy, and 12 PP. The user attacks enemy in the front, from up to 2 tiles away, even if there's an ally inbetween.
Super Smash Bros. series
Lucario uses Extreme Speed as its up special. When activated, Lucario performs a quick dash. Moving in different directions alters which directions Lucario will move.
In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, this move did no damage and moved at a set distance. In Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS/Wii U and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, in addition to doing damage, as Lucario builds up more aura, the move travels farther and does more damage.

- Extreme Speed's in-game descriptions erroneously state that it goes before any other move. This trait is shared with Baby-Doll Eyes, Bullet Punch, Ice Shard, Mach Punch, Quick Attack, Shadow Sneak, Vacuum Wave, and Water Shuriken.
- Although it is a Normal-type move, only one Normal-type Pokémon can learn this move by leveling up.
