Eternamax
Eternamax (Japanese: ムゲンダイマックス Mugendaimax) is an unobtainable kind of Dynamax introduced in Generation VIII.[citation needed]

Unlike Dynamax or Gigantamax, the transformation is unobtainable to the player but appears when Eternabeam is used. So far, the only known Pokémon to have this transformation is Eternatus. This transformation occurs when a Pokémon absorbs massive amounts of energy at once.
History
This transformation first occurs after the player defeats Eternatus for the first time, when Eternatus changes into the Eternamax form after absorbing all the energy in Galar. Eternamax Eternatus proceeds to absorb more energy while preventing the player's and Hop's Pokémon from attacking. The player calls upon Zacian and Zamazenta, negating this power. A special Max Raid Battle ensues where the player captures Eternatus, ending its Eternamax transformation.
Effect
While Eternamax cannot be obtained by the player, while facing off against it, Eternamax Eternatus functions similar to a Dynamax Pokémon in a Max Raid Battle. It can negate the effect of the players' Abilities and stat changes, cure itself of non-volatile status conditions, and use Max Moves in battle. After defeating it, the player will always catch it.
However, it cannot create a protective barrier like Rank 3 and above Max Raid Battle opponents can. Additionally, it does not take increased damage from Behemoth Blade and Behemoth Bash.

The Trading Card Game lists Eternamax as a subcategory of Pokémon VMAX and only featured in Eternatus VMAX.
