Defeatist (Japanese: よわき Timid) is an Ability introduced in Generation V. It is the signature Ability of Archen and Archeops.

Halves the Pokémon's Attack and Sp. Atk stats when its HP becomes half or less.

Halves the Pokémon's Attack and Sp. Atk stats when its HP becomes half or less.

Effect

In battle

Defeatist halves the user's Attack and Special Attack stats when their HP is equal to or less than half of its maximum.

Outside of battle

Defeatist has no effect outside of battle.

Trivia

In Pokémon Rumble, Skittish is a Special Trait variant of this Ability, lowering the damage done to enemy Pokémon when HP is low.
