Costume Event

Costume events (Japanese: スペシャルコスイベント Special Costume Event) are a type of limited-time events in Pokémon Masters EX. These feature special stories with sync pairs in costume.

Poké War Games

This event ran from October 29 to December 10, 2021. It was focused on Diantha, Hilda, Guzma, and Jasmine. The "Diantha Seasonal Scout" gave players an increased chance of recruiting Diantha (Special Costume) and Keldeo during the duration of the event; the "Hilda Seasonal Scout" gave players an increased chance of recruiting Hilda (Special Costume) and Diancie starting from November 4, 2021; the "Guzma Seasonal Scout" gave players an increased chance of recruiting Guzma (Special Costume) and Buzzwole starting from November 11, 2021; the "Jasmine Seasonal Scout" gave players an increased chance of recruiting Jasmine (Special Costume) and Celesteela starting from November 18, 2021.

The event features a main storyline, as well as a sub-story for each of the featured sync pairs. Players can unlock the sub-stories using Story Keys, which could be obtained from story areas in the main storyline; one such area was available at the start of the event, with three more becoming available as the event continued. The sub-stories could be unlocked in any order.

Battles rewarded players with Event Voucher W, Event Voucher X, Event Voucher Y and Event Voucher Z, which could be redeemed in the Shop. Additionally, Daily Extreme Battles could only be challenged once per day. The player could battle using Diantha (Seasonal Costume) and Keldeo, Hilda (Seasonal Costume) and Diancie, Guzma (Seasonal Costume) and Buzzwole or Jasmine (Seasonal Costume) and Celesteela to obtain +0.6× bonus Event Vouchers. For the Diantha and Hilda substories, the player could use Fantina and Mismagius or Glacia and Glalie to obtain +0.4× bonus Event Vouchers, and Wikstrom and Aegislash, Siebold and Clawitzer, Lt. Surge and Voltorb/Electrode, or Korrina and Lucario to obtain +0.2× bonus Event Vouchers. For the Guzma and Jasmine substories, the player could use Falkner and Swellow to obtain +0.4× bonus Event Vouchers and Koga and Crobat, Janine and Ariados, Erika and Vileplume, or Valerie and Sylveon to obtain +0.2× bonus Event Vouchers.

Extra Event Vouchers and Story Keys are automatically exchanged with coins once the event is finished.

This event two Battle Challenges, where players were challenged to defeat a team of strong opponents. Players could complete event missions by clearing these areas with teams using various theme skills, earning Medals and other rewards. The Grimsley's Battle Challenge! areas became available on November 4, 2021, and the Glacia's Battle Challenge! area became available on November 18, 2021.
