Awakening
The Awakening (Japanese: ねむけざまし Drowsiness Cure) is a type of medicine introduced in Generation I. It can be used to wake a Pokémon from sleep.

In Pokémon Conquest, the Awakening can be used to cure a Pokémon from sleep.
An Awakening can be purchased from any Shop for 100-70 gold, and sold for 50-65 gold.
In the anime
In the Japanese version of A Scare in the Air, a woman won an Awakening as a lottery prize. In the English dub, the prize was changed to "beautiful refrigerator magnets."
In the manga


X & Y chapter
In Charizard Transforms, Y used an Awakening to wake up Croaky after Xerosic's Malamar had put him to sleep with Hypnosis.
Pokémon Diamond and Pearl Adventure!
In The Mystery Boy, Jun!!, Jun used an Awakening to wake up Hareta's Piplup after it had fallen asleep due to Mars's Purugly's Hypnosis.
