Etymology
From Proto-Albanian * ̊truδ-[1], or *entrūda[2], from Proto-Indo-European *trewd- (“to squeeze, crush, press”). Cognate to Old Church Slavonic троудити (truditi, “to load, plague”), Latin trūdō (“to thrust, push”), Gothic 𐌿𐍃𐌸𐍂𐌹𐌿𐍄𐌰𐌽 (usþriutan, “to burden”).
