forogħ
Maltese
Etymology
From Arabic فَرَغَ (faraḡa), يَفْرُغُ (yafruḡu). One of the few verbs with għ as third radical and o-vocalisation, leading to the preservation of għ as a consonant in word-final position. Compare a similar case in biegħ.
Pronunciation
- IPA(key): /ˈfɔrɔħ/
