bucho

Portuguese
Etymology
Unknown. Traditionally held to be an irregular derivative of Latin mūsculus (“muscle”), perhaps originally referring to the back of the leg. Assuming relation with Spanish buche, it may be from Latin buccula, with influence of Old French bouge. Other theories include Latin bursus or buscus, or an expressive formation.
