RMB

Translingual

Symbol

RMB

  1. (international standards) Unofficial non-ISO 4217 currency code for the Chinese yuan.
    Synonym: CNY (ISO 4217)

Usage notes

This code is sometimes used in place of CNY. However, this conflicts with ISO 4217, as currency codes beginning with RM are reserved for Madagascar due to that code being reserved to it under ISO 3166-1.
