  1. (Ancient Egyptian religion) A goddess adopted into the ancient Egyptian religion from the religion of Canaan, popular during the New Kingdom. She was a fertility goddess of sacred ecstasy and sexual pleasure. Her Canaan equivalent is the goddess Qadeshtu.
