Background

Ed Sheeran announced his fifth studio album Subtract on 1 March 2023 which would me released on 5 May 2023 consisting of 14 tracks.

On 20 March he announced that he would star in The Sum of It All which is a 4-part original documentary series for Disney+.[2] A trailer was released on 20 March 2023 featuring his performances, tours and his personal life. Ed described the series "I’ve always been very guarded in my personal and private life; the only documentary I’ve ever made has been one that focused on my songwriting," "Disney approached me to make a four-part documentary, and it felt like the right time to open the door and let people in. I hope people enjoy it."[3]
