Svein Andresen

Svein Andresen (born 1954 in Hong Kong) is a Norwegian economist and secretary-general of the Financial Stability Board (FSB) established in 2009 by the G20. He held the same position in the FSB's predecessor, the Financial Stability Forum, established by the G7 in 1999.[1]

Andresen has a master's degree in economics from Simon Fraser University in British Columbia, Canada, and a Ph.D. from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva, Switzerland.[2]
