Semi-fascism
The Semi-fascism is a vague and imprecise term, which is used multiple times to refer to certain sectors of politics that present similar characteristics, more or less equidistant from traditional fascism.[1] Mainly cited by anti-fascist sectors.
It has recently been mentioned by the President of the United States, Joe Biden. wanting to highlight the most extremists and ultraconservative positions and characteristics of the Republican Party.[2][3] It has also been used to describe dictatorial governments that do not meet all the peculiarities of fascism, but the majority do, like the Francoist government in Spain[4][5] or the Pinochet dictatorship in Chile.[6]
In the same way, it has been used to describe the process of orthodox unionism of Peronist orthodoxy in Argentina.[7]
Another case could be the far-right government of Alexander Tsankov in Bulgaria.[8]
