Sara Vidal

In 1998, she went to Lisbon, where she graduated from ISCTE – University Institute of Lisbon in Modern History and in management. In 2002 she studied at the University of A Coruña . She began her musical career with the Galician band Luar na Lubre, of which she became vocalist in 2005. At the same time, she taught Galician tambourine and traditional singing.

In 2004, she began to accompany Luar na Lubre in their concerts. From 2005, she became vocalist of the group, after the departure of Rosa Cedrón. She was vocalist in the album Saudade. In September 2011, she left the group citing personal reasons, and returned to Portugal.[1]

She collaborated with different Portuguese folk and traditional music groups. She collaborated with Brigada Vitor Jara , Sebastião Antunes e a Quadrilha , Zeca Medeiros , Segui-me à chapel, Ronda dos Quatro Caminhos , and Toques do Caramulo.[2]

In 2012, she collaborated with ContraCorrente.[3][4][5] In 2013, she joined the FolkMus project.[6][7] In 2020, she released Matriz, her first solo album.[8][9]
