Early life
Stromberg was born on November 10, 2000, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.[1] He attended Union High School in Tulsa, at which he played football, being a two-way lineman, and won three varsity letters.[1][2] He helped them post an 11–2 record as a sophomore and win the state championship, and as a junior helped Union compile a record of 12–1 eventually losing in the division championship match.[1] As a senior, he was named Division 6AI-2 Offensive Lineman of the Year and helped his team win eight consecutive games and post an overall mark of 9–3.[3] 247Sports ranked him as a four-star recruit and the fifth-best center nationally, as well as the fourth-best player from Oklahoma.[1] Stromberg initially committed to Tulsa over offers from Utah State, Nevada, Colorado State, Central Michigan, Arkansas State, Eastern Michigan, and North Texas, but then switched to Arkansas after receiving an offer from them.[4]
College career
Stromberg saw immediate playing time as a true freshman, appearing in 12 games in 2019 while starting the last 11.[4] He became the starting left guard in week two after an injury to Austin Capps, and his play there led him to become the starting right guard after Capps returned.[4][5] On 417 pass plays he did not allow a single sack.[1] The following year he appeared in nine games and started eight at center, allowing only one sack on 355 pass plays.[1]
Stromberg continued playing at center in the 2021 season and started all 13 games, allowing only three sacks while playing 873 snaps.[6] He was named a second-team All-SEC selection by Associated Press (AP) following the year.[7] He returned for his senior season in 2022.[8] He started every game again and was named All-SEC for the second consecutive year, additionally winning the Jacobs Blocking Trophy for the best blocker in the conference.[9][10] Although Stromberg had the opportunity to return for a fifth season due to the COVID-19 pandemic, he opted to enter the NFL Draft.[9]
Professional career
Stromberg is a prospect for the 2023 NFL Draft, with praise being given for his versatility.[1][11]
