Matt Harman
Matt Harman is a British engineer who is the technical director of the French Formula One team Alpine F1 Team.[1]

Career
Harman began his professional career working first for the engineering company Ricardo. Later he changed employers and became a team leader for the engineers at Ilmor Engineering (and its successors). Harman remained there until 2011 when he was transferred to the Formula One team Mercedes to be the head of powertrain integration and transmission design. In September 2018, he left Mercedes to work at Renault F1 as Deputy Chief Designer while in May 2019 he was promoted to Chief Engineer. On 6 September 2020, Renault announced that Renault F1 would be replaced by Alpine F1 from the 2021 season. In February 2022, he was appointed technical director of the team when Alpine F1 underwent a management reshuffle and former technical director Pat Fry then became CTO.
