History

When tendered, route 57 was awarded to London General with the contract to commence on 2 July 2016.[1] In February 2023, the service frequency was reduced to every 12 minutes.[2]

Incidents
On Friday, 28 November 2014, a woman in her sixties was struck by a number 57 bus in Streatham and pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was arrested on suspicion of careless driving.[4]
