Lara Knutson

Lara Knutson (born 1974) is an American jewelry maker based in New Jersey.

A native of Beach Haven, New Jersey,[1] Knutson became interested in local beach crafts and making jewelry from upcycled materials.[2] She attended Pratt Institute [3] She uses retroreflective safety fabric in all of her work, focused on the "glowing" effect when light hits the material. [4] Knutson was among the craftspeople featured in the exhibit "40 Under 40: Craft Futures" at the Renwick Gallery of the Smithsonian Museum of American Art,[5] and one of her pieces was bought by the museum.[6] She also sold a piece to the Corning Museum of Glass, and was once sold by the Museum of Modern Art in its gift shop.[2]
