Controversy

Wisekid, real name Hosea Yohanna, an upcoming Ghanaian artist, was accused of copyright infringement in 2021 with his album Lasgidi Made. His album's tracklist was identical to Wizkid's Made in Lagos album, duping unsuspecting music fans.He claimed that Freeme Digital handles the distribution of his songs.[11]

However, Freeme Digital has since denied affiliations with Wise Kid's tweet by saying;

"We did not distribute his 'Lasgidi Made' album, only his older content. We will appear in court with him and everyone else involved in this lie and defamation."[12]

Freeme Digital also stated that it will remove the remainder of Wisekid's content from its platform.[13]
