Daniel Frei
Daniel Frei (October 29, 1940 in St. Gallen – August 1, 1988 in Zurich) was a Swiss political scientist. He was a professor of political science at the University of Zurich.[1]

He studied history at the University of Zurich where he received his doctorate in 1964, and at the London School of Economics and at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva where he did post-graduate work.
He made significant contributions to the development of political science in Switzerland, in particular due to his research on security policy and east–west relations.[2]
