2015–17 International Challenge Trophy
The 2015–17 International Challenge Trophy was a football tournament organized by the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) for national teams of players under the age of twenty-three. The tournament was held from October 2015 to June 2017, with 12 teams competing for the trophy. The competition was designed to provide a platform for young players to showcase their skills on an international stage.
The tournament was divided into two stages, with the first stage featuring a round-robin format, where each team played against the other teams in their group. The final was played on 10 June 2017 at the Ferenc Puskás Stadium in Budapest, Hungary, where England C lost to Slovakia U23s 4–0.
The tournament featured teams from across Europe, including Belgium U23s, Bulgaria U23s, England C, Estonia U23s, Northern Ireland U23s, Republic of Ireland U23s, Scotland U23s, Slovakia U23s, Turkey U23s, Ukraine U23s, Wales U23s, and a team representing the Gibraltar Football Association.
