Introduction

This guide will go over how to remove the bumper on the Shark IQ AV993 robot vacuum. This process is very simple and easy and should just require loosening a couple crews. There are no hazards to be weary of. just be gentle and go slow when taking the robot apart to prevent further damage. This guide should be very beneficial if your Shark robot has a misaligned bumper and a damaged metal bracket.

    • Unscrew the two 14 mm screws on the battery panel using a Phillips #1 screwdriver.

    • Gently pull the white tabs on the battery straight upward.

    • There is a clip inserted into a plastic housing via wiring. Disconnect the battery by pressing in the clip.

    • Don't pull up on the battery too hard as a wire connects to the robot. Don't want to damage the wire here.

    • Remove the battery from the device.

    • Remove the five 10 mm screws from the bottom of the device using a T15 Torx screwdriver.

    • The front bumper that is seated on the device will fall off.
