This section will show how to remove the external speaker from the intermediate back-casing of a Motorola V557 phone.

    • Push down on the silver button while sliding the back plate down to reveal the battery.

    • Grab the lower edge of battery at the black areas and pull upward on the edges to remove it.

    • Move the the metal slider towards the top of the phone until it clicks out of its original position.

    • Slide out and remove the SIM card.

    • Grip the antenna and twist it counterclockwise to loosen it.

    • When it has been loosened all the way, pull gently to remove the antenna piece.

    Step 4 — To remove the Antenna ¶

    1) Loosen it.

    a) Grip the antenna

    b)Twist it counterclockwise tilll it loosens completely.

    2)Pull the antenna gently.

    • Remove the screw covers over the two top screws by prying gently with a pin.

    • The large cover in the upper left of the back plate has no screw behind it, so should not be removed.

    • Remove all four 6.0 mm Torx screws.

    • Insert a spudger into marked holes, one at a time, and pry away from the phone to release internal tabs.

    • Separate and detach the rear casing.

    • Lift out the headphone jack section from the sides using a push pin.

    • Using metal tweezers, lift out the black plastic support piece from beneath the headphone jack.

    • Separate the speaker from the casing by pushing with a pin from the back (external) side, through the openings in the casing.

    • Be gentle! The wire mesh is durable, but it might suffer damage if you push too hard with the pin.
