If your HyperX QuadCast S microphone will not mute, there could be a problem with the Tap-To-Mute Sensor. Removing the Tap-To-Mute Sensor is easy and does not require any tools.     • Set the microphone on a flat surface.

    • Pull each of the support bands upwards and off of the notches to release the microphone from its base.

    • There are four support bands in total, but it does not matter which band you choose to take off first.

    • Grab ahold of the tap-to-mute Sensor and pull it upwards in a clockwise motion.

    • Be careful not to damage the cable as you remove the top.

    • Once the tap-to-mute sensor detaches from the microphone, you will hear a small "pop."

    • Gently unplug the cable, and remove the tap to the Tap-To-Mute sensor from the microphone.

    • The square indicates the location of the cable. This is cable is very small and will require a bit of force to be unplugged.
