Introduction

This guide should be used if your tablet’s speakers are malfunctioning. This repair will restore proper sound output to the tablet. The ability to solder is required for this guide.

    • Pry the tablet open in the corner using an opening tool.

    • Start in the top left corner and continue clockwise until the two pieces are separated.

    • Remove the tape and plug connecting the cable to the tab, and it will come loose.

    • This will loosen the cable connecting the screen to the interior of the tablet.

    • Remove the black tape from the silver cable connecting the screen to the motherboard on the left side of the tablet.

    • This will loosen the gold plug.

    • Once you have separated the the screen from the tablet, you can place the screen to the side. You should be looking at this part of the tablet.

    • These are the speakers.

    • Desolder each of the three wires to detach the speaker wires from the tablet.

    • There are three wires that you will desolder from the motherboard. One is red, one is black, and one is white.

    • We recommend that you use a solder sucker to suck up any of the residue that the solder produces.

    • Pry each of the speakers up with an opening tool.

    • Remove the speakers and their connected wires from the tablet.
