Way of the Austere

Killua Zoldyck from HUNTER X HUNTER by Yoshihiro Togashi

Not every monk sits around in temples atop mountains and will pray with the constant smell of incense coming off their robes. The Way of the Austere is a sharp, violent martial art, employed by mainly assassins, bounty hunters, and mercenaries. The Way of the Austere encourages a more free approach to the usage of the martial art, though the same code is followed through every practitioner. "Finish your job. Steel yourself."

Dead or Alive

You are used to capturing your targets, dead or alive; but they tend to run. At 3rd level, you gain the feature Dead or Alive. This feature makes all of your attacks considered nonlethal, until the target is incapacitated or asleep. When your target is down, you can make an unarmed strike against them to mark them for death. From that point on, they are considered stabilized but unconscious. On your turn, you can use your bonus action to expend 1 ki point and instantly kill your target and gain temporary HP equal to the damage you did to each target. You can kill several targets at once by expending an extra ki point for each target, to a maximum of your Constitution Modifier. You regain all uses after a long rest.
