The Many Faced One (5e Subclass)
The Many Faced One
Warlock Subclass
This patron is an otherworldly creature of many forms. Followers of this patron are masters of changing their appearance and putting on the masks of other people and impersonation.
- Expanded spell list
The Many Faced One lets you choose from an expanded list of spells when you learn a warlock spell. The following spells are added to the warlock spell list for you.
Spell Level | Spells |
---|---|
1st | Disguise self, Silent Image |
2nd | Alter Self, Blur |
3rd | Nondetection, Slow |
4th | Stoneskin, Confusion |
5th | Mislead, Seeming |
- Mundane Mimicry
You gain proficiency in a disguise kit. While impersonating someone else, you are considered to be proficient in the Charisma(Deception) and Charisma(Persuasion) checks and may double your proficiency bonus when making these checks.
- Malleable Illusions
At 6th level, when you cast an illusion spell that has a duration of 1 minute or longer, you can use your action to change the nature of that illusion (using the spell's normal parameters for the illusion), provided that you can see the illusion.
- Surprise Attack
At 6th level, when you deal damage to a creature that is surprised, you deal additional force damage equal to your Charisma modifier.
- Fade Away
At 10th level, you can use your action to become invisible for one minute. This invisibility ends early if you make an attack or if you end it early as a bonus action. You can use this ability once every short or long rest.
- Doppelganger
At 14th level, your connection with your patron is so strong you can ask your patron for assistance. You can spend a minute to conduct a ritual entreating your patron for assistance. Upon completion of the ritual, a *doppelganger* appears in an unoccupied space within 10 feet of you. The doppelganger's statistics are as listed in the Monster Manual except that it has hitpoints equal to your sorcerer level + you Charisma modifier. You can communicate telepathically with the doppelganger while it is within 1 mile of you. As a bonus action, you can give the doppelganger telepathic commands that it follows to the best of it's abilities. It cannot be commanded to make attacks. Also, you can use your bonus action to see through the doppelganger's eyes and hear what it hears. You can subsequently use a bonus action to return your senses to normal.
The doppelganger disappears after a number of hours equal to your Charisma modifier, if it goes more than a mile away from you, or you dismiss it early as a bonus action.
You can use this ability once per long rest.
