Sin of Pride (5e Class)

You are a member of the Seven Deadly Sins, The Lion Sin of Pride. Your power and personality rises and sets with the sun. You are your strongest and very prideful at noon and very weak and meek during the night.

Sin of Pride


Class Features

As a Sin of Pride you gain the following class features.

Hit Points

Hit Dice: 2d12 per Sin of Pride level
Hit Points at 1st Level: 2d12 + Constitution modifier
Hit Points at Higher Levels: 2d12 (or 13) + Constitution modifier per Sin of Pride level after 1st

Proficiencies

Armor: All/None
Weapons: All/None
Tools: None
Saving Throws: Your saving throws are Strength and Constitution
Skills: You are proficient in Athletics and Intimidation

Equipment

You start with the following equipment, in addition to the equipment granted by your background:

  • Divine Axe Rhitta
  • Any heavy armor
  • (a) A dungeoneer's pack or (b) A explorer's pack
  • If you are using starting wealth, you have 5d4 gold pieces. in funds.

Sacred Treasure

Divine Axe Rhitta

You are in in possession of this golden 1 handed axe. You are only able to carry it between 6am and 6pm, no one other than you can lift it. This axe deals 2d12 slashing damage + you Strength modifier (damage increases to 3d12 slashing damage at 7th level, 4d12 slashing damage at 11th level, 5d12 slashing damage at 15th level, and 6d12 slashing damage at 20th level) and 1d12 fire damage + your Strength modifier (damage increases to 2d12 fire damage at 7th level, 3d12 fire damage at 11th level, 4d12 fire damage at 15th level, and 5d12 fire damage at 20th level). This weapon ignores resistance and immunities.

Charge & Fire

Once per long rest you are able to spend 3 turns to charge and unleash all of the stored up power inside Rhitta dealing an additional 4d12 fire damage+your Strength modifier to the target.

Sin of Prides' Features and Abilities

One with the Sun

You become blessed by the Sun through a type of magic called Sunshine. Your size, health, stats, and magic ability become dependent upon the time of day, where you are your strongest at noon and your weakest during the night. Your starting stats are your stats as though it were 7am or 5pm. Every hour before noon starting at 6am your stats increase by 2 and every hour after noon your stats decrease by 2 until 6pm. During the day your HP is determined by your Hit Dice like normal, but at night your HP is 1/4 your HP as it is during the day (rounded).If you are smaller than Large, you become Large between 12 pm and 1 pm.During the day you are proficient with every weapon and armor, but during the night you are not proficient with any weapon or armor. During the night your speed is 30ft and during the day your speed is 60ft. Before 6am and after 6pm you are unable to use any of your class abilities or features except Quasi-Transform.

Lord of Fire

Starting at 1st level, Due to the immense heat given off by your body you've become used to it. You gain immunity to fire.

Unarmored Defense

While wearing no armor, your armor equals 10 plus your strength and Constitution modifier.

Power Sense

Starting at 2nd level, you are now able to use a bonus action to target an ally or enemy and see their Strength or Dexterity, whichever one is higher, health, and if they are a spellcaster and which stat they use for spellcasting.

Super Slash

Starting at 3rd level, you can swing your weapon as hard as you can to create a powerful shock wave towards your target dealing 2d8 force damage + your Strength modifier and 1d8 fire damage + your Strength modifier (damage is doubled at level 7, tripled at level 13, and quadrupled at level 17). This ability ignores resistance and immunities. You may do this as many times as your proficiency bonus per short or long rest.

Sacred Treasure Release

Starting at 4th Level you gain the ability to unleash the full potential of your sacred treasure by using its release ability, using this ability cuts your hit points in half but amplifies your strength, constitution, and charisma stat to double what they are when you activate this ability. This ability only lasts one turn and if you are in your quasi-transformation when activating it you are immediately knocked unconscious after the turn ends

Extra Attack

When you reach 5th level, your character can make one additional attack on your turn.

I bear no hatred to those who are weak

At level 6, between 6 am and 6 pm, you gain advantage on all saving throws against being charmed or frightened.

Quasi-Transform

When you reach 7th level, for 10 minutes during the night, your are able to transform and your body and stats act as though it were 10am or 2pm. You can only do this once every long rest.

Sin Endurance

When you reach 9th level, your character becomes accustomed to the life of an outcast. As a result if you fail a saving throw, you can instead choose to succeed. You can do this up to a maximum of 1 time per long rest. Increases to 2 times per long rest at level 17.

Burning Pride

When you reach 13th level, your body has now taken on more attributes of the Sun. You are now giving off Immense heat that deals 3d6 fire damage + your strength modifier to anyone within 5ft of you every turn. This feature ignores resistance and immunities.

Cruel Sun

When you reach 15th level, you are now able to use a bonus action to create a miniature Sun and launch it at an enemy dealing 5d10(increasing to 10d10 at level 20) fire damage + your strength modifier to you target and 1d10(increasing to 5d10 at level 20) fire damage + your strength modifier to anyone within 5ft of your target. This ability ignores resistance and immunities. You need to finish a short or long rest to be able to use this feature again.

Master of the Sun

When you reach 17th level, your connection to the Sun has grown even more. You are now able to cast any fire based spell from any spell list 6 times per long rest. These spells ignore resistance and immunities. Strength is your spellcasting ability.

The One

When you reach level 20, you are able to harness the full power of the sun. You become the physical embodiment of power, The One. You may enter this mode between 12pm and 1pm. In this mode you're AC is increased to 30 if its below 30 and you cannot be forced backwards or knocked prone. You automatically succeed on every saving throw and all enemies within 25ft automatically fail. You Crit on 15-20 and you're damage is doubled. This mode last for 1 minute, however you may take 5d12 damage every turn to remain in this mode after the 1 minute mark (damage increases by an additional 5d12 every turn). You may enter The One mode during times other than the allotted hour. However, if you choose to do so you take 20d20 damage every turn (damage increases by an additional 20d20 every turn). You need to finish a Long rest before using this ability again.

Multiclassing

You cannot multiclass into or out of the Sin of Pride class
