Necroblade (5e Subclass)

A necro blade combines the might of a martial class with the spellcasting ability of a necromancer. They kill anyone who opposes them and command their undead bodies. Necro blades rely mainly on their martial weapons to deal damage and augment it with spells. They use spells and their own natural abilities to command undead and fight alongside them.

War Magic

Beginning at 3rd level, when you use your action to cast a cantrip, you can make one weapon attack as a bonus action.

Death Grip

Starting at 5th level, your dark magic can attack the soul within an opponent's body. When you hit another creature with a melee weapon Attack, you can spend 1 spell slot to attempt to stun a foe. The target must succeed on a Constitution saving throw equal to your spell save DC or be Stunned until the end of your next turn.

Blade of Blood

At 10th level, the Fighter’s ability to channel negative energy becomes more portent. Necrotic damage dealt by the character’s Fighter spells and Channel Divinity options ignores resistance to necrotic damage.

Undead Aura

Starting at 15th level, you constantly emanate a menacing aura while you’re not incapacitated. The aura extends 10 feet from you in every direction, but not through total cover.

If a creature is undead, its speed is reduced to 0 while in the aura, and that creature takes necrotic damage equal to half your fighter level if it starts its turn there.

When a large or smaller humanoid within 10 feet of the aura dies, the target's spirit rises as a spectre in the space of its corpse or in the nearest unoccupied space. The spectre is under the fighter’s control. The lich wraith can have no more than three spectres under its control at one time.

Soul Eater

Starting at 18th level, when you hit a creature with a melee weapon Attack, you can expend one spell slot to deal necrotic damage to the target, in addition to the weapon's damage. The extra damage is 2d10 for a 1st-level spell slot, plus 1d10 for each Spell Level higher than 1st, to a maximum of 5d10, and you gain temporary hit points equal to the necrotic damage dealt. The damage increases by 1d8 if the target is an Undead or a fiend.
