A (sorta censored) naked Lithune, drawn by me, it's not that great. |
Lithunes are elf-like in shape, however, they are far from elves. Lithunes have 4 eyes, two regular eyes as other races have, and two smaller eyes above, these eyes allow them to peer into the ethereal briefly. They have small tendrils over their bodies, two on each side of their face, two on each wrist and ankles, one on each side of their waist. They also have a long tongue which can extend up to 3 feet. Their skin varies from pink to purple to blue, their hair is usually a similar color but either much darker or lighter. Their eyes have black sclerae with golden or green irises and slit pupils. It is not uncommon for them to have blue, pink, or purple irises.
Different Lithunes specialize in different aspects of their bodies, these are known as venune, formune, glaciune, and fortune.
Lithunes have no different sexes, they have the reproductive organs that both male and female creatures would normally have, some may look more masculine or feminine but this has no change on their reproductive organs.
History
Lithunes predate elves, humans, and many more of the sentient humanoid races that inhabit the world. Offspring of lithune can sometimes be the first of a new race as they are highly susceptible to mutations which leads to the evolution of new creatures. Lithunes can reproduce asexually, with other lithune, or with other creatures; offspring formed with a non-humanoid creature often lead to more monstrous children who likely will not survive alone. A newborn lithune takes the form of a spider-like creature with 4 small limbs and a mouth surrounded by tendrils. During their childhood a lithune is able to hunt and eat to grow, once they reach one year of age they begin molting into a child-sized humanoid lithune which then grows to become their adult selves.
Society
There no longer remains lithune societies, but what they used to have resembled traveling caravans. Lithune never felt the need to settle down and form towns; they would travel in groups at best. Lithunes would not keep their children as they would likely get attacked by them, as well as their children are fully capable of growing on their own, however, it is not uncommon for a lithune to try to keep its offspring. Lithunes who grow from the wilderness lose their savage hostility once they molt into their humanoid form, after which they seek other humanoids to grow with and become part of a family.
