| Your deity blesses you with the ability to look into people's souls, object's auras and area's atmosphere, revealing their true alignment. | |
4e Power Usage::At-Will  | |
| 4e Power Action Type::Minor Action | 12 Squares |
| Target: Any Entity, Object or Location within 12 squares | |
| Effect: The target's alignment is revealed as coloured auras, blue for good, grey for unaligned and red for evil. Also, lighter shades reveal lawfullness, and darker shades chaos. Detect Alignment can be fooled, however, if a significantly powerful ritual or artifact imbues a person and changes their aura. | |
| Special: Detect Alignment can penetrate barriers, but 1 foot of stone, 1 inch of common metal, a thin sheet of lead, or 3 feet of wood or dirt blocks it. Animals, traps, poisons and other potential perils are not evil and cannot be detected through this method, nor can potentially helpful items such as food, potions, or magicically imbued (Unless Artifacts)as they are not good. Unaligned objects and entities do not appear with this method either. | |
